From my previous post, it seems apparent that my heater core is partially clogged. Since removing it takes 12 hours, is there a solution i can run thru it? Maybe a cleaner of some sort?

What car is it? You know, Ive had good luck just using a water hose to flush out the crud. Just pull the hoses off and flush it both ways. Be careful not to use too much pressure, dont want a leak

Well, there should be an inlet and outlet on your car's firewall. You could access it that way. But I cant think what would be the best way to clear it.

Burst bubble time. From my experience, the small passages clog and it is damn near impossible to clear them. Plus, the corrosion caused by years of sediment building up has eaten into the metal. It is thin to start with so you have a leak waiting for a place to happen. I would replace it.

taco bell after not eating for two meals clears me out pretty well.
There is some radiator flush solution crap I bought at walmart cant say whether is works good or not.
I dont know if this exists or not but I would want to flush the whole cooling system with some kind recirculation system and a filter.

Since removing it takes 12 hours,
The shop manual on my Cougar says 10 ours for that car. I've done it in under 2.....

There may be a heater control valve somewhere along the heater hoses, make sure its opening. But if both hoses are hot, it probably is. Also check to see if the blend door under the dash is moving when you turn the knob to heat.

Both hoses can still be hot with a clogged core because of how the coolant flows. The outlet hose would actually be cooler from heat transfer if the core was not clogged
